Partha Chatterjee and his aide Arpita Mukherjee were arrested in connection with the alleged SAC scam. The TMC leader had complained of ill health after being sent to Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody for two days. After this he was admitted to SSKM Hospital on Saturday evening.

Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Partha Chatterjee faced sloganeering when he was airlifted to AIIMS by air ambulance. According to the information, during this time people standing outside the hospital started shouting ‘thieves-thieves’. The TMC leader has recently been arrested in connection with the alleged SSC scam.

After the arrest of Partha Chatterjee in the alleged scam, cash worth Rs 21 crore was recovered from the house of his close aide Arpita Mukherjee. Apart from this, jewelery worth one crore rupees was also found from his residence.
